 A sticky subject indeed. I do believe in being truthful partly because it is right and partly because is just easier to be that way.
I consider "must be discreet" a big red flag. Of course most consider that the same as must be secret. I do not consider those two words to mean quite the same thing.

I always behave. Preferably not well.

 well if someone lies about anything, then who's to say they arent lying about something more important like being an in-the-closet gay guy?? or having more then one partner? being upfront and honest is the best way.

 For Me; "must be discreet and friend or friends with benefits", is because my significant other knows that I still have, Want's and Desires, and she does not care to know about my conquests !!! She allows me too fulfill those !!! She has a medical condition and does not desire or wants sex any longer !! I voted, Other, because when first talking or meeting I would explain this too any gal and be more detailed about her condition which I believe most gals would understand !!

 I never lie about my marital status. Even when I was still married, but living separately and going through my divorce, I was still up front on my status.
